EU Cookie Law – time to get into the detail!

 

Really looking forward to tomorrow’s Digital Cream 2012 event at the Emirates Stadium, London.

eConsultancy have asked me to moderate the round table session on the implementation of the ‘EU Cookie law’ (PECR 2011), which is just a great opportunity to both empathise with and advise organisations on how to deliver legal compliance without ‘throwing the baby out with the bath water’.

This compliance piece is no mean challenge; the complexity of the technical challenge, coupled with the risible lack of consistency and  clarity from pan-European Regulators means we are all potentially ‘chasing our tails’ to stay on the right side of the law.

Expect some more postings from me following the event as I digest the Sentiment, Ideas and Opportunities this challenge has thrown up.
